I have awesome melody, looking for the producer!

Hello everyone,
I have got awesome trance melody... and looking for the producer who could make a tune. I think it would be a very big hit.

Get a basic version done, mp3 and post an example?

Sure that there is loads of people who would offer their remix/production services on here (me included) if it was worth the effort.

I'd be happy to give it a crack, but then again, don't know what it's like...

post it and it will get stolen if it really is *that* good. stolen by people lurking the forums who really don't want to work with you.

go to a community that specializes in remixing/collabing, talk with a trusted member or something.

well I dont wanna post the sample here... because some guys can steal my idea. so I will pm everyone who asked for the sample. if anyone wanna hear that sample just let me know.

Posted by BOOsTER on Sep-24-2006 10:32:

omg...get over all that stealing...

actually I wouldn't think anyone here would bother stealing an idea :-/

there are better ones to ripp off...like Mike Foyle...his previews should be ripped if someones' or airbase's...

why would anyone bother ripping YOU off? :-/

Christ, stop being so paranoid. How many times have you heard someone stealing some complete amateur's melody?

If you don't want anyone to hear it, fine. Don't expect anyone to make a tune out of it for you either then.

Well, I've heard that Infected Mushroom scours MySpace every day looking for low-bitrate samples to steal. Of course, they're clever bastards, they warp it just enough so nobody except the original producer could ever recognize it, and of course they never leave a single trace of evidence. Those crafty jooooos!

[/sarcasm]

To the thread starter: seriously - melodies aren't "awesome". There are all kinds of melodies that can sound really awesome, when put against the background of a really good production (or good backup if it's live), but if you think that a standalone melody is so awesome that everybody's going to want to steal it, well, you're due up for a few lessons in reality.

Don't waste people's time with unsubstantiated bragging. If you think you've got something great, then post a sample, and if you're worried about theft, then mangle or leave out a couple of chunks so it can't be stolen (or better yet, let them steal now and sue them later, you've got a better chance of making money that way). Most reasonably good artists don't particularly enjoy working with puffer-fish.

The notes make melodic sense, certainly not random. The instrumentation is actually very good actually. It sounds like a cross between 'U2 - Where the streets have no name' and 'U2 - With or without you'.

I did think it was more of a build-up riff though, and I also thought it could do with an extra four bars (contrary to what I see typed on TA sometimes, 4 beats make a bar) to add a new progression in the bassline.

But yeah, excellent instrumentation.

Posted by Subtle on Sep-26-2006 02:57:

saying the melody is awesome will always increase the expectations, and hence, fewer people will like the melody.

i listened to it, not my style.

sigh just post a sample make our lives easier lolz

*closed* before this gets even more silly

trawl through the producers promotion section, and if you like an artist -ask them to help you produce the track
