Awesome animation

The first in a planned series of animations for Harvard University's Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, "The Inner Life of the Cell" takes undergrads beyond textbooks and vividly illustrates the mechanisms that allow a white blood cell to sense its surroundings and respond to an external stimulus. This animation explores the different cellular environments in which these communications take place.

Cool vid, the visuals were pleasing. I liked the music even though it was simple.

The goings on inside a white blood cell. Millions of these are flowing through your blood right now. Hundreds of these die to protect your body from infection. Pus consists mainly of dead white blood cells. So next time you pop a zit think of all the neutrophil granulocytes that gave up their lives defending you.

each time I see the name "Orbax" the avatar picture of the fat kitty comes to my mind...

To me, kittens can't be knowledgeable but clever(a subjective association generated in my mind) or pretty tricky.

And to come back to topic, an interesting snippet about the white blood cells.

The white dots that you see darting across your vision if you stare up into the blue sky are really white blood cells in the capillaries of your retina !!
