-- mixing techniques
Recentely, I bought a pair of Numark 1520 turntables and a DM1001X mixer (had to choose between good mixer and direct-drive, i'm poor) and i've been sitting there and I realized mixing isn't exactly a natural human instinct. I was going through the forum here and didn't really find as much as far as mixing techniques go. Maybe somebody could tell me where I might be able to find a tutorial or something along those lines?
www.recess.co.uk ... all you need =)
also, check out "Advanced Vinyl Handling" on hyperreal.org music section
thank you very much
looks like all i'm going to need, I appreciate it
I learned to beatmatch by bar timing my records.., eventually you can tell when beats are matched.., bar timing is timing (using a stopwatch) 16 Bars.., 1 bar is 4 beats, so 16 bars is 64 beats.., if you have one track that is timed at 28.0 seconds.. and another track that is 27.0 seconds, 27.0 is faster by a pitch percentage of %3.7,
Woohoo.. college math was not a complete waste heh :P
