Digital Camera for sports

I was wondering if anyone has gone skiing or snowboarding and recorded their session? Anyone have any camcorder suggestions?

I know Samsung makes a sport-cam with a helmet extension but after testing it, there is no g-shock protection or balancing so all the shots come out real shakey...

your help is appreciated!
