Gemm - Not what it used to be

Back when I spun vinyl I'd use Gemm.com if all else failed. Without fail, every time, it would come up with what I needed. I remember once ordering Condor - You Can Kiss Me from Israel!

Now, I don't really need to use it, I'm building my digital collection, but every so often I can't get a digital copy of what I need. The answer should be: buy it on Vinyl and rip it.

Well, Gemm has let me down. I cannot find "Anjo - Sunrise".

So I thought, OK - I'll forgive it that. Lets try searching for "Prolectric - One". Nope. OK, what about "Condor - You Can Kiss Me". Absolutely not.

So, with three failures in a row I conclude that it's not as great a vinyl search engine as it used to be. Prolectric and Condor had previously produced not one match but many matches for me to choose from.... a few years back.

Has some other site taken over? Can anone point me in the direction of a vinyl search engine that produces better results. For the first time ever I am unable to get hold of something on vinyl I really want.

A sign of the times I feel.......

Jarv

PS Anjo - Sunrise. PM me if you can help PLEEEEEASE!

you could start by typing the track names and artists correctly

condor - you can kiss (my...)
pro-lectric - one-one

If you're going to correct someone you could start by correcting them properly!

I'm looking at round piece of plastic right now with the words: You can (kiss me). And it's Condor II if you're going to be picky, although I've seen it labeled as just Condor in the past.

But anyhow - the point I am making is not that I can't find those two tracks, I already own them on vinyl - just that locating old tunes is not as easy as it used to be on Gemm. It used to be like Napster used to be for MP3s.

Anyway, Anjo - Sunrise anyone?!?!?!

It used to be an excellent source for locating second hand records too, meaning you'd be able to pick up just about anything, regardless of wether it'd been deleted..... so long as you were prepared to pay the price.

i just checked discogs, and everything there was listed as
"condor - you can kiss (my...)" didn't know they made a tune called "you can (kiss me)" too, and wouldn't have suspected they did as the name's so similar.

The plastic in question has a few mixes of the same track (as always).

One has a woman saying "Kiss my, kiss my, kiss my ASSS" and the other is based on the same melody and does not feature the words, and is the original, and easily the best:

Just so we know we're talking about the same track.....?

Well it wasn't there yesterday!!! Hahahaha. Erm, ok maybe I just didn't search properly.

Here's a challenge for you, see if you can find Anjo - Sunrise.

I'll be your best friend if you do.
