she hasn't been on here yet. I've got something to look forward to

edit: Well at least we know she wasn't miming

Posted by gumble on Sep-28-2006 12:24:

she has a dreadful voice, even when its produced well.

all these damn soapie actresses, thinking they can follow in kylies footsteps.

Posted by Anomyst on Sep-28-2006 12:58:

Lol i know her from school days, i loled hard when i found out she is singing

Posted by queen_vee on Sep-28-2006 23:05:

It was the worst live performance I've ever heard!

She sings maybe marginally better than me ie very slightly less flat. At least I have one note that sounds good (granted it's hit and miss when I find it, and not many songs even have that note)

I was wondering why they didn't let her mime and dance, and then I remembered her voice is so bad even studio production trickery couldn't manage to make it sound ok, and she didn't dance anyway.

Oh well. It was amusing.

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Sep-28-2006 23:07:

yeah, she certainly sucked. but i loved it, as i love hearing people that cant sing i dont understand people that cant hold notes

Posted by christos on Sep-29-2006 01:04:

she's certainly for the tip...werribee or even ship her off to Tassie...

(thread needs pics)

Do you suppose Nick is thinking 'I don't want to make another mistake like this..?'

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Sep-29-2006 02:47:

i wish id had the opportunity to make more mistakes like that...

Posted by Dj_Es-Dva on Sep-29-2006 03:02:

was that her? i was channel surfing and saw some bitch singing and realised id seen a tv show on ten about her and noticed not only how out of time her mimming was but how bad the song is

lol what, and you think Kylie is any better?

Her voice is deplorable. She was at a stage where she had good producers behind her, and a look that could be marketed in Australia. By that stage Neighbours was huge in the UK and she already had a cult following.

Good performer, marketable look.

Stephanie McIntosh on the other hand is none of the above. You walk down to the pub and you see about 100 sheilas that look like her. Her voice is crud and she doesn't have a cult following. No chance.

At least Delta could hit a note (even though her voice is so god damn generic)...She can also play an instrument which helps...

As far as a lyricist goes, she only co-writes her songs, unbeknownst to 99% of the Australian population.

Sorry to the ruin the party guys. Holly Valance's performance a 3-4 years ago was 100 times worse than last nites.

sorry but i think niki websters video clip for one song was even worse, not one scene was in time with the lyrics

Posted by Paulie on Sep-29-2006 03:38:

Junior, the discussion is about live performance not video clips.

Posted by Dj_Es-Dva on Sep-29-2006 03:55:

its still performing none the less, valance doesnt sing at all now though does she?

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Sep-29-2006 04:06:

Rogue Traders on the footy show 2 or so months back was also pretty awful (I think they did coming home).

but the fact is; they want to be like kylie. and they can't. i heard an interview with kylie from when she was around 20. she was extremely level headed - i think kylie is better than all these other ones coming through - even her singing ability. but its not really about singing ability these days.

anyway: my point is that if some young girl on neighbours wants to be a singer, it will always get lapped up - even when they are terrible.

ps. Delta is very overrated. I dont particulary care that she writes and plays all her own stuff - its boring.

Just being condescending in a nice way. Don't want to go the full bore on the little kid, just in case he takes the internet seriously and decides to take his life over a few comments.

As for you gimp...theres no need to be nice.

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Sep-29-2006 04:45:

but im sensitive and i idolise you paulie. your words do more damage than you know.
