Live streaming your sets?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to stream, or even better live stream a set on the internet.

If so which site or sites can be used for this and how easy is it to do.

My Set up is:

2 CDJ 1000 MK3
Allen & Heath XZone 3D
Sound Lab Sound Card
E- Machines Laptop 2.4
Broadband 8mbps

Would be very grateful for any assistance

Thanks

Dan

There is only one problem though..... I notice you live in the UK.

Although you're 8mb broadband, I'm guessing you're ADSL?

If you are, it doesn't matter what you're down speed is, your up speed is limited to 256k. This is the same across the board for all ADSL lines in the UK - it's a limitation of the technology. The only exception is when you bridge 2 ADSL lines together and you get 2 upstreams, so that would be 512k (or half a meg). But for that you need to pay twice. At our workplace we have 4x2mb ADSL lines, meaning we get 1meg up and 8meg down.

So long as you don't want to stream in high quality you'll be fine. In fact, you might be able to broadcast nicely in 256k (which is about 28kb a second) - I'm not sure.

If you've got cable you're laughing.
