Help My Newbie Trance Ass Find Some Songs

I suck at life and know very little about trance. All I know is that I like it, but need help finding more tracks. The following tracks are ones that I really dig. With these in mind, what others do you recommend?

Kamaya Painters - Endless Wave
Tiesto - Sparkles
Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes
Solar Stone - Seven Cities
Gouryella - Gouryella
Jose Amnesia - The Eternal
Chicane - Don't Give Up

What else you got? Help my poor helpless soul...

Brilliant.

Check out beatport.com or audiojelly.com for samples of new tracks in different genres. Audiojelly gives you suggested tracks to sample when you're looking at a particular track. Might be a good start.

Yes - Gatecrasher sounds perfect for you Kramizzle

Gatecrasher: Disco Tech
Gatecrasher: Discotech Generation

Armin Van Buuren: Boundaries of Imagination (v. diff sound to what he's been pushing for the last few years on ASOT.

Try some Ferry Corsten mixed compilations too... you'd prob like Trance Nation 4.

The worst ones of the series. Black, Red and Wet. Trance Nation 1 and 2.

I thought Disco-Tech was a dam fine cd if i may say so myself.
Wet is good, but i didnt buy it cos every other compilation of that time had practically the same tracklist. Though i have the vinyl pack

Disco-Tech had a lot of the more 'underground' trance tunes on. eg Conquest Paradise, Orion, Voyager II, Unity Theme, Flashpoint.....list goes on.

That being said, Black & Red were amazing albums. Also Trance Nation 1 and 2.

lol, that sounds EXACTLY like i was about a year ago. Searching for EDM is pretty annoying, so much stuff out there. Just keep looking around, random trance websites and what not, you'll find shit. Also, check out stuff by Above & Beyond/Oceanlab, *shrug*, might help.

PS..i love how you started off by saying "i suck at life" lmao, i thought i was the only one who ever used that phrase.

Oi! The disco tech disks are sensational, I think they'd be a winner for Kramizzle, along with black, red and wet.

Kramizzle, you also need to acquaint yourself with this site:

www.discogs.com

Endless supply of info on artists, releases, tracklists etc

And sites like www.juno.co.uk allow you to hear samples of various releases, below is a Gatecrasher search, I think you'd really love the 'Classic' release.

http://www.juno.co.uk/search/?q=gat...=&sdate=&edate=

Oh, and because I think ASOT and A&B et al should die and attract a very minimal fan base, I think you should check out Global Underground whilst you figure out what you like in the trance / EDM world. GU10 has some 'trancey' tracks for you:

little bump to say thanks and keep the suggestions coming.

Thrillseekers - By Your Side.... wow, loved that one.

Posted by Dj_Skez on Sep-30-2006 21:06:

Algarve - Seashore (Sturmkraft remix)
Tiesto - love comes again
BT feat JC - force of gravity (Ferry Corsten bootleg mix)
viscid and cj art presents spiral in groove - soundctuary
Leama And Moor Feat Rushmore - Distance Between Us
Paul Oakenfold - Southern sun (Tiesto remix)
alucard - blue on blue (hydroid's dream mix)

Just a few easy suggestions since you're new to EDM , most of the tracks on the list feature uplifting vocals.

Isnt that by Nicolas Gala, or is there another song called 'swing to harmony"?

as for songs, check out sets by Armin Van Buuren, or Dj Tiesto, Ferry Corsten. Their older sets have those kind of songs.

Why do you feel you need to push your views on to others? Just because you dont like trance dosnt mean others shouldnt, I suggest you keep your views to yourself.
