Trance classification?

Hi,
Can anyone give me a definition of the types of trance out there?
For example, difference between trance vs. techno, progressive house, progressive trance, hardcore trance etc. Are there multiple names for the same type of music?

that's all i can remember heh. It's possible those terms i used above are only used by me, so if u never heard of it, then it probably doesnt exist hehe

www.ishkur.com has a "guide to electrronic" music.. its really biased and skewed, but its the best yer gonna get..it is very detailed!
