Official Montreal Canadiens 2006-2007 Season thread
figured we would need a thread like this!
And to start things off:
RIBEIRO IS GONE!!! WOOHOO!
Good luck Montreal
you will need it
I kid I kid
ribeiro traded to Dallas for Janne Niinimaa.

comes as a shock to me, but it was just a matter of time. We had been talking about Ribeiro being traded for the entire season last year and it finally happened.
That's siiiiiiiick! Ninimaa is just what we need...now we won't have to play shitty Patrick Traverse.
I think basically, we need to get more goals in the net than the other teams. I think this strategy will lead us to victory!

I was at bell Center tonight, and i liked what i saw. Plekanec played whit Samsonov and Kovalev. Latendresse on the 4th line whit Murray and Begin. The first line produce a few points, 2 goals for Kovalev and 1 assist. Mike Johnson is better than i thought, really impress by his work, i think he's a good thing for the club. Let see what happen whit our goal tender. Now whit Niinimaa, the team is better i think. So have a good season, first game friday october 6th at Buffulo!!

really looking forward to see Niinimaa play. He had severe ankle injury last year.
if he's half as good as back in the day with Edmonton we're in business.
niinimaa had a off year last year.
but in seasons before that he was a very offensive defenceman, so I think it's just what we need!
Let's just hope Saku doesn't get injured, then we're in trouble at center big time!
i am amazed that gainey was able to get more than some coupons from pizza hut for ribeiro.Good stuff.A small player with no heart who cant skate is useless. The only reason he played here was because he is french.(the habs "need" to have francophone players is why they will never win the cup again.Fuck you Bertrand Raymond)
Dallas has Ribeiro in thier mind for quite some time.
He's a good center and in good company, he'll get 60+ points this season!
Ha! 1rst post in a trance forum and I talk about Hockey...

Une vache espagnole, elle est pas mal celle la. Le probleme, c'est qu'une vache espagnole patine mieux que bien du monde si elle joue dans la LNH.
A+ amigo
ribeiro could barely speak english OR french.
maybe he should have stuck to Portugese
there's no Buona Notte in Dallas...wonder what he'll do with himself now...
hahahaah buona notte
jokes
we dont need heartless players like ribeiro...
i have a feeling the kovalev - plekanec - samsonov line is gonna be insane.
kovalev will hit 35 goals if he doesnt get injured
koivu will have a big year....75 points
latendresse = 17 goals
aebischer will get traded after the all star break

I'm pretty stoked for our season. I don't think we'll have any problems in the goaltending dept; even if Huet proves to be a 1-season-wonder, Aebischer is more than ready to be a solid #1.
How many teams has Niinimaa played for now?
wow, traded five times. Suitcase Niinimaa. Let's hope he pans out this time..
