Trance producers that does not suck nowadays

I keep trying to find good trance tunes, but just so much junk out there.

This is sorta in vain to get me redirected to good trance. Give me the names!

Producers that i don't think sucks (from last year's worth of work or so)
-Super8
-Mirco de Govia
-Stoneface & Terminal
-Thomas Bronzwaer (Arizona)

Tim doesn't do much of a trance

quote:

Galen Behr

Haven't heard anything by him.
quote:

Aly & Fila

Sounded generic to me
quote:

Thomas Datt

overdone fluff trance. needs to learn how to get his own sound
quote:

Frase

Up and coming. Don't disappoint me Frase!
quote:

Leon Bolier

Few tunes I heard by him doesn't interest me
quote:

John Askew (A bit techy side of trance)

Suffers from PvD syndrome (same repetitive kick all the time). Lost how to make a decent melody
quote:

Sean Tyas

Up and coming. So far, his stuff is ok
quote:

Acues & Elitist (Spanish Trance FTW!!) lolz

Dunno much about them
quote:

John O Callaghan
boring and stale
quote:

Gabriel Batz
too generic
quote:

MIKE (Trouse but hey it counts :P)

Always bit of a hit or miss. Nothing recently that stands out to my memory

I stopped looking at top trance DJs for good tunes. (Well, maybe except Ferry but ever since LEF concept, I don't look for good stuff from him)

Maybe his point is that there are about as much creativity in Trance productions recently as there are peanuts in a jar of pickles?

Yay another Luke Terry fan.

He hasn't produced anything really good last year or so though.

Point me towards good producers last year or so.

Now I have my opinion of what is good and bad, so a lot of your suggestions I won't like.

But I appreciate the time and effort

well then please do tell me if you were a trance producer what would your definition of creativity be in your trance productions.

i am curious to know as how you define creativity.

and if his point is what u say it is then why start a thread about trance lolz accept the fact that your trance days are over and move on hoping one day you dont suffer the same feeling you do right now with whatever genre has you grooving.

I define creativity as simply something that sticks out. For example, I can hum out a few Trance tunes from the 2000-era without barely any effort, yet ask me to hum out anything from the Schulz set from last weekend, and the only one I'd be able to do is Karen Overton - Your Loving Arms, and even that is only because of the lyrics (which ironically, aren't even original). His set was phenomenal, don't get me wrong, but the tunes themselves are not memorable.

well Dima me you and rest of the world agress that back in 2000 or anything between 1998 and 2002 has special meaning to all of us and those were the golden years of trance no doubt. and it is almost very rare to find a similar sound to it nowadays. however taking in cosideration what you wrote about Schulz ... there is a reason Schulz's name wasnt on the list lolz and maybe Schulz did play a couple of tracks from the djs listed above but i doubt it. Schulz and Armin are quickly becoming Metallica of EDM. sound is great sets are great but there is something too commercial about them. and by commercial i mean same tunes same bassline and same track selection.

if you wanna hear some memorable tunes go in download thread and check out some of djs i listed. a lot of creativity there by those guys in my opinion. i am sure you would find something of your interest and if not then .... i am sorry

I wouldn't say commercial. It's just bland.

I'm far from giving up on Trance, but thankfully I now have other genres to turn to when I get sick of hearing the same thing in set after set.

Seems like the point of this thread is yet another chance for Yohan to cut up everything/everyone with his elitest mentality and opinions.
