What do you think about Addy ?

What do you guys think about DJ Addy? London, the drink, skybar, CZ, Hotel Boutique, Budo, southbeach sundays @ the docks all summer, blabla he's all over the place. He opens and often even closes for lots of big names, and there's been a few times I thought he was absolutely fantastic. While he's often pretty commercial, I personally think his technical skills are top notch, and he pulls off a lot of stuff on those 3 decks that most DJs wouldnt dare try..

Anyway, just curious to see how others feel about Toronto's hardest working DJ cheers!

I find it a little bit odd that EVERY single one of your posts since you joined (2 weeks ago) has been Addy related - what's your goal here exactly?

i think his goal is to support his favorite local dj, which is cool

How could someone not like an Addy set?

Its so awesome how he stops the music all the time just when the music gets good. It really keeps you on your toes. Keep up the good work Addy!

And Addy's really up and down for me. When he's on, he's fucking ON...but when he's not...

And I always end up hearing a lot of mixed things about him too, so while I like him, I wouldn't say he's close the best I've heard.

you got that right... there have been nights when his sets made me forget there were big-name DJs in the guv complex and then other nights/mornings at CZ that had me saying... refund!!

BUT...there is a group of local DJs that are over played in this town, that seeing them is not special anymore...

Used to be my favourite local...but now...his sets are garbage....so I don't think much of him as a deejay anymore.

lol..but as for Addy..he is o.k..not my thing..the couple times I seen him he was very commercial..almost pop music like...certainly wasn't electronic music.

The first time was at film lounge about 2 years ago , and he droped alot of punk based tracks.

the other times that i've seen him in gallery was decent.

I doono why but most of the time i like what local DJs play better than international ones.

p.s i've personally met addy once and he's a cool guy.
