Suzy Solar @ Oct 6th Metropolis

Just found out today Suzy will be spinning on Friday night Oct 6th at Metropolis downtown Miami (i know, not the best venue, bring your bulletproof vest's,lol). It will be her birthday so come on out and join the celebration. One of the passwords to get in will be Solar. More updates soon.

Would this be Suzy's debut in South Florida, Brian? Metro ain't a bad club, despite its rather infamous reputation.

The thing that gets me is, I thought this place was history.

Yeah same here DA, I thought the place was history as well. As far as this being Suzy's S.FL debut... no i think it was actually at Ultra back in 99 when it was on the beach. Other Miami venues she has played include Nikki Beach, Onda Lounge, Jazzid, and Amika. She also played a few shows in Ft.Lauderdale at club Stereo which is now closed. Hope you can make it out if you are not busy Friday.

I didn't start partying/clubbing until '02 so I missed out on quite a lot of events.

I'll do my best to be there. It's been quite some time since I seen you guys last!

I guess Metro got another lease on life. For how long, who knows but the heck with it.

I remember seen Suzy's name back in the day. Yea I thought this place ( metro ) was history but as I drove through this past Saturday, that place was the most packed I had ever seen that place ( maybe their opening day resembled what I saw ) .. but I think it was due to some event, but it appears to be open . Anyways.. thats cool for Suzy to see her here

i have the owners nephew in one of my hospitality classes at school. he said his uncle was closing down oct 8th..but apprently he closed alot earlier than that and would re open in like a month or so, thats why im not sure if its under new managment or ownership. lets hope they kick out hip hop events either way

Whether it's at house parties or at a club, Suzy always does a great job. Her tag-team session with Santana at the Amp last year opening for Ferry was awesome.

worldsound: Metropolis had some good trance events like Cosmic Gate and Blank & Jones. Just because Rank1 got moved, does not mean the same thing will happen to Suzy.

I commend you for hard work and getting new up and comers gigs at Saltwater, but starting high school drama over Suzy Solar getting the hash from Metropolis and having to move to your club only makes your events look bad.

I wish Suzy the best of luck in her Miami gig, and I know she'll rock it silly.
