Alternative to Nero?
For some reason when I burn audio CD's in nero, they always skip, but when using Linux they're fine. I was wondering if there's a good alternative to Nero, as I really don't wanna go into Linux each time I wanna burn some tunes.
I'm assuming you are using Nero 7 right?
Uninstall it, use the nero clean tool to wipe out every trace of it, and never touch it again. Install Nero 6 in and you'll be fine.
I have had sets partly ruined due to the disfunctional Nero 7.
hope this helps
cheers

i need nero
i used to have and used it mostly for cutting tracks into a long continuous mix.
i havnt used this program in a while but it works good for cuttin tracks and burning cds.
anyhow i tried ysing a demo version of Acoustica MP3 CD Burner and i have to say it does the job but it sucks.
even if you put settings at zero delay in between tracks it still leaves a little silence blip in between.

Use Nero 6, don't use 7....Nero 6 is all you need and doesn't have as many problems. I've had it for years, no issues.
I just burned like 10 CD's...all work perfectly.
Cheers guys! This definately made my day
anyone who says Nero skips is likely just using Nero 7.
Some forums even have a warning about staying away from it.
