is there any way to find out whats the pc's temperature?

most motherboards can do it now. Just press Del when you turn the computer on to get to bios, and there should be a PC health (directory ?) you can check it there

my laptop has been getting really hot lately after 2 hours of use where I had to shut it down and turn air condition to cool it off. It's kind of worrying, I am afraid it may be battery with the recent recall news and all.

Go in the bios to set the cooling temperature and fan speed ?
