Failed my A-levels miserably, bleh, 3 U's, bleh, I'm a retard,bleh,not goin to uni,bleh, don't have a clue what o do, bleh, heap sympathy/insults/advice on me now,bleh

Well i got my first result bakc yesterday, got an A, but havent you got the tests in june, and there r always resits mate. Dont worry you will be fine

OO dear. I got my first AS module results back yesterday. A in Chemistry and U in Maths (M1). Everyone did shit in Maths in my class, everyone got Us Loadsa people I would have thought to get high grades only got like Ds or Es. Only the really really really clever people managed to get As + Bs. My whole maths department should be fired In fact one teacher is resigning over how shitly our school handles maths and IT.

My mate got 2 A's and a B and he is a total dosser, GIT, hehe. But i am happy with my A.

the whole education system sucks though, I missed 6 months of year 11 so did hardly any coursework, the school told me I'd be just graded on my exams so I wouldn't be upto 60% down on marks before I started, so when I get my results they forgot to tell the examining boards who wouldn't change their minds over it, so I'm stuck with Ds & Es for getting 80-100% on every paper wankers...

As for the A-Levels, my bro has a shite Biology teacher who told them shes too busy to teach them all the work, so they got a dictator and Hid it in one of their bags and recorded her slagging them off & being rude, and not doing the work, and now shes suspended... stupid whore. As for re-sits, if u want something badly, u'll get it in the end mate, good luck too

sorry to hear about what happened to you, the teacher in my lesson had no fucking clue how to teach us, no prep for lessons or anything

the trouble is that incompetence like that fucks up lives, you can goto lessons and try your hardest, if the person who's meant to teach u doesn't have a clue ur buggered, I guess the best thing to do is use that as motivation, like go out there and show the pricks that you can do it and make something of urself

It's not the end of the world mate.

Both of my parents have degrees, and both are unemployed.

Yet my uncles and aunties, some of them without even any A levels, are all comfortably off, some of them particularly so.

hehe prolly wasn't actually planning on GETTING a degree, just wanted to live like a gippo for 3 years lol

Don't worry mate, it's not the end of the world. And don't worry about not knowing what you want to do. I'm 23 in a couple of months and I still aint got a fucking clue

My advice? If you've got no further education planned then get a temp job through an agency, pay wont be too bad. Use half the cash to go out clubbing every weekend and put the other half away. When you've got a couple of grand saved up fuck off to Asia or Australia or something for several months. When you get back you'll probably have a better idea of what you want to do, plus you'll have lots of worldly knowledge and will be a tad older & wiser.

ask gibbo i was the cleverest lad (note lad: we dont count robot girl burnstone) in my school but i can never get down to doing school work i dunno what it is and i end up fuckin everyhting up, although my U in computing was throught the complete arse faced cock suckingness of our teachers who said to us theyd only tought us half the sylabus, then did jack shit about it so i gotta to a fuckin resit coz of them bastards (n i got a B last year! ) gibbo will testify for their idiotness too. twats!

so boys and girls count urself lucky u have the naturaly ability to work hard, or at leats try and do summat, coz being clever and lazy gets u jack shit! *sigh*

and anyway, my dad dropped out of school at 16. and now hes a chemical engineer with a degree on 35+ grand a year hehehe

Still, if there's absolutely nowt else that appeals to you, you can always resit them again.

There's a lot of confusion surrounding this, although as the situation stands, if you've just resat your AS levels and want to resit them again, you have to resit all 3 modules of that subject, even ones you did well in. But if you messed the whole lot up, that option is there, provided the college havn't wiped their hands with you. If they have, scavenge around, a college will take you somewhere. And as for Uni, somewhere might take you, it'll be somewhere shit if your results are shit, but who cares, you'll still have the same laugh and nights out. In fact at a shit university you'll get a better student experience, cos they don't give you as much hard work or essays to do.

If not, you can always stay back a year, try again, and then go to Uni.

I can't bloody wait for Uni personally.

By the way, how old are you? I assume you're in the same year as me, ie with your A level exams this June?

yeah EB i'm 18, in my last year, I haven't been able to speak to the head of 6th form yet (not looking forward to it either, he fuckin hates me), but my college is pretty helpful apparently. DT I know exactly what your on about, I'm far from stupid, just I'm the laziest bastard on earth
Spad the more I think about it, the more I wanna go travelling, my mate Andy's up for coming with me (he can live off Mummy and Daddy for the next 90 years ), but my dads havin a go about it (You've got nothing to come back to, nothing sorted... bleh )
I'll know a lot more on tuesday when I speak to the guy, about the first thing, then I can sort the second thing, but only after the first things sorted (sorry had an "Analyse This" moment )

just make sure its worth re-sitting.. the last thing u want is to be fuckin around wastin time if ur not gonna actually try and get ur alevels.. anita did that and shes wasted 2 years at college doin sumthin she wasnt arsed about when she could now be a stylist...

After an immensly long chat with the careers dude and some other teacher types I've decided to go back to college in september and do my A-levels again, cos I really need to go Uni, so thats what I'm gonna do. I've got til september to get as wasted as possible, then it's pretty much work solid for the next 2 years . Spad I'll be taking up your offer of Gatecrasher in March, when I've got some money. Now I have no exams I'm definately up for GCSSS (apparently Oakie was AMAZING on friday at GK), so I'm looking forward to that, computers knackered, don't know when it's gonna be fixed, so the next time I see you lot maybe at the NEC. Calla if I don't get back on here I'll rely on you to tell me meeting times and stuff (seein as I'm goin there with you).

i just got a letter from college saying i have had 59% attendance last term. but what riles me, is the bastards are such propaganda making fucks. first off, they missed out the first 3 weeks of the term counting my attendance, which was full, in fact they only counted 6 weeks of last term, in this period there was also a weeks half feckin term, and the only time (barring a lesson here and there ) i was off was the 2 weeks after dumonde when i had the flu but i toild my rents and theyre sound with it i jsut gotta take a fuckin note in to the bastards!

anyway, ive only got 6 weeks left of college left in my entire life, GOODBYE PHYSICS HELLO GAP YEAR MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I'm surprised they haven't booted you out. I missed a week of college and I had them ringing home asking where I was and threatening all sorts (which really pissed me off cos I was genuinely ill that time).

In the last 15 days of college I've been in 3. I've been ill on and off the last couple of weeks.

Ok, Oakenfolds had some bad sets recently, but I've not heard anyone complain so far this year, my mate said he's the best DJ he's ever seen (he was with me for Armin, Ferry, Picotto, Dumonde, Bond etc...), mixing was spot on, track selection and crowd interaction was great as well. The guys had 2 bad years, thinking he's god (download his essential mix from Home 1999 and you'd be inclined to agree with him), then people don't like him anymore cos he got voted best DJ in the world. He got complacent, but by the results this year he's sorting things out
