Not only are events supposed to be in the EVENTS forum...December events aren't allowed to be posted til the end of the month.

Don't edit your post after the fact to change the date for December - if its not an option in the drop down list when you start the event thread then that should be a hint that December events aren't allowed to be posted yet!
