Talk about an odd pairing....

Sander van Doorn has signed with TCA (mainly known for house DJs) today.....which scares me for LA cause now I just think about where SvD might playing knowing TCA's habits on their bookings!

I thought SvD would sign with AM Only or maybe Chaotica if he and his manager went for a large agency within the US, but they chose TCA for some reason.

TCA, AM, or any booking agency... i don't think it would impact his ability to play out too much... regardless of the 800 number or the email account inquiries would be sent to.

People booking SVD know what SVD plays and will contact anyone who manages him, regardless of other djs on the management roster. It's not like they will try to push him in venues his style wouldn't accomidate.

never seen him live but his dj sets are SICK! when he was at spundae he really tore it up. and hes such an awesome person. we hung out and talked to him for about 2hrs when he got off.

Ummm I don't think SvD does a "live" show. I think PIG was speaking in reference to seeing him in person as opposed to listening to his Identity mixes.

i think the problem is more of an sf problem...

- svd is tca
- ruby skye is tca's major outlet to sf and imo the only club other than 1015 where svd belongs
- svd is too trancey and not djmag enough for ruby skye's elite list
- therefore mezzanine, dna lounge and mighty are the other alternatives, and venues that fit house music best

well hopefully this isn't the case and we can still svd to book at 1015, which is imo the best fit venue for his music.

Nah, just pointing out that SvD's style doesn't match up with what the lineup TCA has. His style is different than just about anyone on their roster.

I'm a bit scared for LA, though. SvD is Spundae damnit! I wouldn't stop talking about the guy for months! TCA DJs tend to play at other places down there.
