OUTFOXED : Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism

An excellent documentary on Ruper Murdoch's "fair & balanced" "news" broadcast network, and it's wonderful impact on democracy and "informing" a large portion of the American [voting] population. I saw this quite a while ago but it's on you-tube now and definetly worth sharing and checking out:

EDIT: Working embedded video.

Hell yeah. I saw this several times, and long time ago - definitely a great video. I own the actual DVD too ... recommended to watch - dont trust the mainstream media!!!

remember that one network that had those false documents revealed right before the '04 elections? was that Fox?

excellent doco shaolin.

i must say, the first time i saw a fox clip i honestly thought it was a piss-take of some kind. i couldnt believe journalists could be that biased.

i feel pretty lucky that over here we dont really have an equivalent for fox news. all of the programs we have that deal with domestic & international news, that include "expert" guests etc, are on either of our public channels, and the quality here is world class.

we do have our shameless "public interest" programs that feel like fox, but they dont really deal with issues of real concern. unless of course another story on the secret products in food is considered real news

ultimately, you really do have to blame the american consumer. anybody with half a brain could see the quality of fox news. what was more alarming was seeing that fox is influencing other networks. not cool at all.

another reason im glad our national party has blocked changes to cross media ownership.

we're also lucky enough to have a program "media watch" dedicated to highlighting various despicable acts by media & journalists in australia.

for someone not really patriotic, man i love australia

Not only that, but I couldn't believe how unprofessional and incredibly rude alot of them are to guests they disagree with. "Cut his mic." "Shut up!"

If you find someone being incredibly rude and harassing guests funny/entertaining, I suppose it could be called that.
