Thumbs up PVD Played a track by Miami's Own George Acosta

I know some of you aren't big Acosta fans, but much props to Paul Van Dyk for playing George's new record "Apocalypse" this past week on the show Eins Live Rocker (not to be confused with his weekly show on Fritz)
http://www.paulvandyk.de/low/playli...=1951&year=2006

I remember several months back Judge Jules was a big supporter of another Acosta track. Gotta give George Acosta props for releasing quality tracks, and for properly representing Miami.

Whatever else can be said about Acosta, he has stood the test of time and is still doing well with his production work and DJ sets. One thing is for sure, you throw him into a room packed with clubbers and he will blow that room up over and over. His Shadow Lounge Reunion set @ Space last year was fucking amazing.

Hell Yea ! George Acosta is the @&*# !! His two CD's GA All Rights Reserved is amazing, love his music & productions.. Hes just awesome

WEll.. Acosta was great till about 03 or around that time... then he went dead. I remember when all the trance heads would go to he's last nights @ level to support he's music, as one of the last trance DJ's of Miami still playing then it all went down hill from there. It is nice to see him come back in a nice way... Last times Ive seen him he's been great

Acosta is the man he was one of the first trance djs i ever trully enjoyed, he opened my ears to trance. He made a couple of my nights special,i saw him on New Years eve in Atl. @Tabernacle like 3-4 years ago and he was awesome 6 hours of dominance.Sad to say i didnt make it out to the Space party although i wish i did now.I went to see Cedric instead.

Exactly. George detsroyed it and then Talla, Edgar and George went back-to-back-to-back.

Real question is whether they will do another one now that Dade (former Shadow owner) no longer works @ Space? Last year it was the day before Thanksgiving, and with PVD coming that Saturday this year, it looks like a no-go. I would love it if they brought Acosta, Edgar, and as guests Scot Project and/or Dumonde the next time.

Maybe a petition for a second reunion is in order.

That was the craziest night i've had at a club. if they do have it again, they should bring back that girl that was working the lights. she was amazing.

Dude, I was in heaven that night! I was dancing and jumping around like a little kid. Everyone there was looking at me like I was crazy!

I was having a convo with someone about this the other day. Without Dade at Space, it doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon. When and if it happens again, I'm there!!!!!!

OMG.. Shadow Lounge reunion last year was out of hand... that night was just out of this world man. I asked in CJ about it, and Ariel said that they planed on doing it but that it was too soon to do another one... maybe in the future... but I wanted it every year

George's best years 1997-2000. IMO then it became fashionable to bash him. If you think the reunion was great think of that almost every weekend for about 3 years...

I used to hit up Shadow back in the days ocasionally for "AcostaNation" (which that party was known as) and know what you mean, he owned this city back then. I can tell you George's set @ the reunion @ Space was like being put in a time warp - from the music, to the vibe, to the lights being done by Shadow's light person, to a bunch of the old school Shadow regulars coming out of retirement for the party. Part II is in order 10000000%.

New remixes are always welcomed, but what song you talking about?
