about roll calls

can anyone start a roll call??

maybe a stupid question, but just wondering..

Yep anyone can start one as long as it's started < 7 days prior to the event.

as long it's within 7 days of the event, not earlier.

Yup, just be sure to update the roll call often. Nothing is worse than someone that starts up a rollcall and then ignores it.

Here's a couple of additional suggestions;

a) If you post a roll call, it is BAD ETIQUETTE to not show up or not be there. If you do the above, you are therefore a meaningless postwhore.

b) It is also BAD ETIQUETTE to post a roll call if you are getting paid to get people to your event. You make a roll call to gather friends, NOT customers. If you do, you are therefore not a friend, but are a postwhoring salesman, or promoter.

c) It is GOOD ETIQUETTE to monitor your thread.

d) It is GOOD ETIQUETTE to update your firt post of your thread with who will be there. Bonus points goes to you if you link the names with the "don't you post on Tranceaddict picture thread".
