-- change midi sound preset ?

Posted by -_1_--Ben--_1_- on Oct-11-2006 08:04:

change midi sound preset ?

the cirkel with the arrow points to something which sets the midi bank, but i don`t know how to remove it.
it doesn`t matter which bank i tell it to play(on the left side) it just pops back to some preset which is in that cirkel i think.
anyone knows how to remove it ?
(or adjust)

in your midi editing window, there should be a section where you can change individual midi controls. for your problem, you need to remove any data assigned to "program change".

Yeah you might have some automation acidentally set on 'program change'. Show all automation for the track and erase it off or fix it.

thanks, that helped.
but only at 1 channel it doesn`t work and everything is gone in the program change (i know for sure)
i copied the patch that i wanted to use to that preset number so i can still use it, but i`t will be nicer when i don`t have to do that

Make sure that you're using a midi channel number not used by other tracks (in the case you use the same midi instrument).
Also try to go into the midi menus and choose the editing function "remove all controller messages". This will definately get rid of your program change. And again: Make sure automation is turned off (or at least that the automation doesn't do anything to change program).

Regards
