Turns out, according to the FAA, it was licensed to, of all people, Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle.And he was flying the plane as well killing him.

I think if The plane wouldve have been carrying A-Rod... it wouldn't have hit anything.
but yeah he isn't even the best Yankee to die while piloting his own plane.

Very, very weird considering I live just about 20 blocks away and am working about 15 blocks away right now. I got a call from a friend saying there was a small plane that hit a building in the upper east side. That was weird in itself. Then a hour later I check ESPN and see it's Cory Lidle. Gave me a sick feeling in my stomach. Of course New Yorkers were first sort of panicking being sensitive from 9/11.

You know what, I was on the train coming home from work and I remember I think it was on Monday, but on Mike and the Mad Dog's radio show, both Mike and the Mad Dog was highly criticizing the Yankees down to the point of individual players, Cory was mentioned and I remember hearing Cory call in saying he wanted to defend himself. Also remember Mike and the Mad Dog criticizing Cory real heavily while he was on the phone with them...

Really really sad

Fantasy baseball doesn't take VACATION... its a year round thing, we gotta know these things... so we can adjust our drafts/keeper teams accordingly....

A Keeper team... yes you keep like 2-4 players... like franchise players.... and the rest go into the draft for the next year and so forth...

I was kidding though, Lidle isn't Fantasy value anymore... like me and eddie were discussing, we both had him a couple years ago... which was pure desperation on my part.... but other than that...

well I'll stop before I badmouth a dead man anymore than I have already...

he's got a six year old son, which really sucks that he lost his dad...
