My mummy!

My mummy is coming a week today!!!! WOOT!!!!

I would love your ideas of things to do when she is here (she has been 3 times already so we have done all the major attractions....)

I am taking her to see Wicked and Blue Man Group but all suggestions gratefully received....

A bio of my mum - she is 50, funky and hilarious, the best mum in the world. We wear the same size clothes and she has great taste in music (where I get it from). She is going to be a nana in March so this is her last chance to party with me before she has to be all responsible (haha) and my daddy is staying at home so I have her all to myself.

I have 3 days vacation so suggestions that mean going away are also a possibility.

Thanks

hahaha if I was taking her anywhere like that, it would be Satoshi Tomiie at Sonic

Posted by CAKE on Oct-13-2006 15:23:

that be halerious Satoshi rocks .... my parents always use to say that jokingly why don't we come to one of your "raves" and then i had to give them the whole explination of how there not raves lol

Posted by English Rachel on Oct-13-2006 15:25:

I have been 'raving' for 11 years, my mum understands the scene and the music but also knows that I am sensible and careful... She was so glad when I told her I was stopping drinking (alcohol is what has always gotten me in danger) that she said, "Take a bit of speed instead, that will keep you dancing and at least you won't forget the night!". Kinda cool from a woman who has never done a drug in her life hahah.

Kind of late for that, but still a nice consideration.
Go see Ottawa...

I met the milf hunter when I was in Fort Lauderdale with 25 rugby players (long story)

I got his autograph for one of the guys and he gave me 2 tshirts!

sorry but I disagree a bit here. I don't think it's 'cool' that a parent would suggest something as addictive as speed to thier daughter. Give her a gram of pure speed and tell her to do it and let her learn how addictive the stuff really is before she starts suggesting it (even jokingly) to family.
I wouldn't wish a speed addicition on anyone.

That said I hope you enjoy her visit and that the two of you have fun.

She was joking.

Weirdo.

I'm a weirdo for disagreeing with your moms parenting practices? I'm sorry but whats really more weird, a parent joking about doing speed with thier kid or parents that treat chemical abuse seriously and don't joke around about it?
Man we live in a messed up society if the former is considered normal.

Like I mentioned above anyway, I hope the two of you have a good weekend together and the weather stays nice for you. Have fun.

* I understand it's a light hearted joke and all so I don't think it's that bad esspecially if she understands your 'party scene' and given your age as the two of you speaking as mature adults... but I still don't think I'm the weird one.

nah...most of the leaves here are on the ground now. The best time to see them would have been on September 22 or 23.

I am 28 years of age, thank you. Not really a kid anymore, am I? And actually, come to mention it, are we discussing parenting practices? No, we are discussing the things I can do with her when she is here considering we have done all the major attractions and spent christmas last year in a log cabin in Muskokas.

Her EXACT words were, 'take a pill' but as I don't think she knew what that meant, I changed it to speed as I know she knows what that means.

Unless you have something to suggest for me to do with her, shut up.
