working on a little project *update PROJECT NOW FINISHED :)*

so i cant have like a crazy bolt on cdj stand because i dont want to bolt it down to my furniture...

so i decided to build something to go on top of my dresser. im still working on it.. but i got most of the building done.

pics are in my garage so excuse the mess

as you can see i have 3 stands, 2 taller ones where my cdjs will go and the middle one... same size just a bit lower where my mixer will go

as you can see its still a work in progress. the wood is not painted and the metal bars which look nice and polished are covered with blue painters tape because im about to paint the wood black

u can tell the difference in the height here.

these metal things will be sort of "stopers" that will go infront of the stand on top drilled on and polished just as a little more security so if my cdj slides down it wont fall.

will post pics when im done prob during the week or weekendz0r

yeah i needed the same thing for my cdj's and tables. i played at a club that had the cdj's on a rack above the turntables.
i liked it so bought one of these:

and turned it into this.

eventually im gunna paint it all black!

Some advice:

You're going to need more than those "stoppers" to keep the heavy CDJs from sliding.

Consider bracing the legs with Xs to prohibit any lateral movement.

no comprende.... plis esplain.. i wantt o make them as rigid as posible so any input is always welcomed.

The metal bars standing up does not prevent the stand from shaking sideways. You need something to keep the bars from wiggling around under use.

Like that:
______
\ /
\/
/\
/__\

Edit: the spacing sucks but you get the idea

that angle is a bit too much for me, but thats exactly what i want.. for them to be @ an angle because my neck hurts after spinnin for an hour or 40 minutes...

yeah i wasnt sure of the angle at first but now im hooked on it. i dont how tall you are but im six foot so its right at face level for me. i like your idea more than my own tho. im just not good with wood and this was a cheap alternative.

An area to securely hold the DJ's drink would be nice.

I have a suggestion for the stoppper nachos. You could drill a piece of wooden block where I have drawn which isn't to scale. Remember to take all the proper measurements into consideration.
