Review: Ferry Corsten @ Bleu

So I wasn't even gonna go to this b/c of the amount of work I have this week....but I'm sure fucking glad I did!

Went with 10 of my Windsor friends...though I didn't see most of them for a lot of the night...thanks to Mike (some of you may know him as Elevation). He got me upstairs to the VIP area a little before Ferry came on the decks. Ferry saw me and recognized me right away. I talked to him for a little while and he said how much fun he had at Labour of Love, but Toronto always gets him into trouble b/c he ends up closing the place at 9 in the morning!

Amazing night overall. The crowd was a little annoying...namely this one guy up in the VIP area that was pissing me off. I was next to the DJ booth the whole night...didn't leave my spot.

I talked to Ferry after the show and he said that he wants to do a Canadian tour in the new year...and definatly wants to hit up Windsor (my hometown...yay!)

Tunes were amazing! He spun for just over two hours. A lot of new stuff I haven't heard, and a bunch off his new album (obviously). Unfortunatly no classics, but then again he doesn't have as long a set time as he does in Toronto!

Loved being up by the DJ booth...I had tons of room to dance

Oh and also...KT opened for Ferry. That guy has extreme talent. I've never been disappointed with a set of his!

Everytime I've talked to him in the last few months though he says he remembers me, and I keep thinking "sure, I bet he says that to all his fans". But when he recognized me first and started asking about if I had fun in Toronto I knew for sure he wasn't lying. Great memory that guy must have!!

In Ibiza, Spitty got one of the free Ferry shirts they were handing out and she had it signed by Ferry to me & she brought a picture of him and I in NYC. I asked if he remembered her, and he said "Ya...that was your friend...I remembered your picture!" or something along those liines.

I die. Seriously. I die.

PS: I am pretty sure Ferry was telling you the truth....he has an amazing memory, because, when I went up to him this past weekend in Crobar, he was just shaking everyones hand, not sayign much, but then got to me and said "HEY! Whats going on!!! How are you?" Just a nice, nice guy I tell you.

If he remembers me (and I have only met him 3 times) I am SURE he remembers you Miss Lisa, because you are everywhere (NYC, toronto, ibiza pics , LOL) biggest fan EVER!!

I was shocked at Guv 10yr when Armins manager David Lewis invited me backstage to chill and have a drink with svd's crew lol...i was like woah how the fuck does he remember me ...BUT he did!!! thank god all that tshirt making hasn't gone to waste hahahahahah

I'm so glad u had a wicked time babe! Ferry LOVES GIVING HEARTS and have u noticed he even says it "hearts" then does the symbol

I really enjoyed the space at Bleu when I was there as well. I think it is a great venue to have DJ's play at + the VIP is perfect. If you want to pay the extra to get up there (which I didn't mind paying.)

Glad you had such a great time Lisa. As if we would expect anything less.. hehe
