Does anybody happen to have or know where i could find some decent quality samples? ... i've seen the likes of Sanchez & Digweed use them before now yet i can't find one that's half decent in quality :-\

Cheers all!

i think everyone who produces has tried using them at one point or another....usually earlier in thier producing careers hehe......google it.......or you could make something similar.....probly just some mad detuned sound ....and screw with the pitch going up n down..

if you wanted to make it with a synth you wouldn't want any detune at all, just a single saw oscillator probably.

anyway, anyone have any quality long ones, or know where to get them? i have a bunch of shitty ones from google but no real good ones.

if you have any good sirens, prison break, air raid, whatever. pm me.

airraidsirens.com didn't have anything of a decent quality & findsounds was pretty much the same

trust me its easy to make in a malstrom synth.

use a certain lfo which has the characteritics of a siren to modulate the pitch of that wave shape.

for example use like an x^2 lfo which modulates the pitch of you ocillator!

i think?

but anyway im sure you will find one

Or you can easily make them on the Pro-53 too. There are even some presets on that that just need you to apply a bit of Glide and it's good to go.

ahh the power of google

click the link, this page has quite a bit of useful mp3 samples. the thunderbolt 1000s sound pretty damn good. some are pretty long but you can always edit them using audacity or something.

I will do, it's not exactly like an air raid siren but it does the job.

I used it in a track "California Jail Break".
Will check what I did and let you know.
