hows the rave scene in Minnesota? a lotta ravers? What about the ladies? Is it anything like NY (for those that have been), canada? europe?

What about the extra goodies ... availability? heh..

youre in the wrong part of the country my man. raves happen veeeeery infrequently, and when they do the candy stuff just isn't tolerated. we just had a 'rave' event a month ago, so itll probably be 5+ months till there's another legit one.

Alright.... but why the animosity to all this? Is it just not popular becuase the crowd is not there or is it because the midwest does it differently?

a little from column A and a little from column B. in my best estimate, because the "rave" scene really draws a lot of its US origins in the midwest a lot of people are just really jaded about it now. i guess its sorta started to rub off on me.

i'm not saying you won't find any of what you're looking for, just that its not gonna be found on an internet message board. www.midwestravers.com might be a starting point, i think they just re-opened.

For me, its because ravers use drugs and thats just sad

Ya know, its like people only do things because they get paid, and thats just sad

:smoke:

drugs?....

I started with music prior to the drugs...yeah, drugs are a priveledge. A lot of people abuse them and start the music because of the drugs..

But, true passion...for the music...u'll pick them in the crowd in NO time!

Posted by cmay119 on Nov-01-2006 21:15:

Yeah, the candy kid rave scene died a LONG time ago here in the midwest.
Why did it die you may ask? Probably because most sane people hate happy-hardcore. That'd be my guess anyways.

Since I don't get out much, I have no idea how it is in other parts of the country.

rave is still alive!

by the way, i just bought a sweet pair of 56" wide camouflage raver pants.

this is gonna be one sweet november.

Posted by stuntman on Nov-03-2006 04:21:

raving

!!...

Well... So I ask why the candy scene is dead. When I used to school in Rochester, NY, I went to toronto, canada almost every 3 months for a great party ... In canada, the candy scene is very much alive. New york, nothing too great (security is tight). When one hits an Armin and Tiesto party, all you'll see is a VERY oriental crowd.

Then, moving to cali, oh boy, things shut way too soon. (like 3:0 - 4). Yeah, you'll see a lotta chillers (Haite and Ashbury in San Fransisco), where, whereever you walk in the park, your going to get brownies, cookies, all the mix of the finest crops ... My impression of the midwest was that everybody was a laid back chiller and since its a little more rural than the big cities (comparitively to NY, LA, SF, etc...), people would get whatever they want more easily.

Anyhow, so whos hitting up Markus Shulz? Is there a pre trance addict meet up? Whats the deal? Anyone gonna bet the track list?
