RedBull Flugtag '06....

The RedBull FlugTag is being held this Saturday, Oct 21st, in Balitmore, MD.
I will def be there w/ a bunch of friends - if you're in the area, it's something to do on a saturday afternoon. I will be there, excessively enjoying my spirited libations, with the added entertainment of watching people hurl themselves off a 25'-high pier into the inner harbor...

It's teams that attempt to make a manned flying (gliding) device that they launch off of a 25 foot platform (over water). Teams are scored on distance travelled by their "flying machine" and on a two-minute performance piece before the launch. Some take it seriously... some get dressed up like Mary Poppins and jump off the ramp holding umbrellas in their hands...
