The Art of the Human Beatbox

Hey all, anybody got mad skills at this? A few friends and I are stuffing about with this at school during class, some it sounds awesome when there's like 3 of us going at the same pace. I can only do basic kickdrums+snares+hi-hats, both 4/4 and breaks.. but this is nothin after listening to this dude Rahzel whose a freak at it. If ya dont know what i mean, go and download Rahzel - If Your Mother Only Knew. Tis crazy. Post ya comments

Hell Yeah!

Rahzel is phat. He and Scratch from the Roots did a show in Philly last summer, it was crazy cause they had a beatbox battle! They blew everyone away, since there was no other music except their voices.

A few days later we got to hear Scratch again when they came to this skate jam our way with another member of the Roots. He was doing rewinds, crabs, flips, just insane voice control!

Rahzel's hot, but Scratch had him that night in Philly.

this is some ironic crap right here..
about 2 months ago at our school we had some assembly about winter festivities or something like that. and while we were waiting a senior got up and was egged on by the other seniors to do "Kory's Beatbox" then he all gets up and does it and the song he does was called "If Your Mother Only Knew" and he said he created it. That is shit right there, now that i have heard of Rahzel's version.

Oh Rahzel is tha bomb LOL! He is really good! My friend can do that thing when he sings and beatboxes at the same time, he can also make D'n B beats that's really kewl

You can make it sound niftyer if you use a microphone (as opposed to bangin beats in class), you can distort sounds to give them a non-human edge. I'm a kick ass human turntable
