Re: some amazing events coming up in the next few months!

dieselboy @ leopard lounge 10.31 -I can't do DnB all nighter anymore, but I still like to listen to DJ DB style DnB. Besides, there are other parties I rather go to on that day.

infected mushroom @ roxy 11.10 -I am there 100% if my wife isn't willing to go to Miami. I don't get why somebody wouldn't want to go there. (prun)

second sun @ spirit 11.10 -Same story as ^^^

jimmy van m @ cielo 11.17 -why not

felix da housecat @ crobar 11.17 -why not

hernan cattaneo @ crobar 12.1 -all depands on the mood

rabbit in the moon @ exit 12.1 -I had enough of them guys

martin roth @ shelter 12.9 -too far ahead to comit

Come to JvM.

Other than that, maybe Cattaneo, though I'll wait to see what else is going on and what the deal is with Crobar by the time that comes around. His nights have somehow managed to have a good vibe despite the recent vibe of the venue.

So are you saying he's boring live, but good on CD? I don't think I've ever seen him, and if I have, it's been awhile (2004, opening for someone, maybe??)

he plays really deep stuff.. thats all good, but really lacks energy.

Hernan Cattaneo no doubt. Unfortuntaly im only 19 so i wont be able to make it if Crobar makes it 21+ which will most likely happen

Its going to be 21 and over. LOL, one of our girlfriends couldn't get into Crobar for Calderone this passes Sunday morning although she knows every bouncer and manager working the door. Mind the fact we always VIPed to Calderone. Poor girl had a panic attack in the cab going back to Brooklyn.

Exit, seriously?? That's so random but could be insane. I'd hope for a live PA too.

Re: JvM, the only times I've seen him is opening for Sasha and Digweed. I think he might be boring if you're not into deep proggy house and because he holds back as an opener. The times he does play a little harder, he brings it back down just before the headliner comes on. It'll be interesting to see how he is alone.

i'll think about it - i've actually heard good things about JvM, but not sure i'm really into what he spins

I don't know if he's playing as much prog anymore. I'll have to find some recent sets of his.

Yum yum to many of them. But I'm feeling the fatigue of having seen 6 DJ's in 7 weeks. I got fire in me yet, but mama needs a little break.

Def going to IM, and I might get sucked in to Felix just because he's just so damned cute.

If its Club Exit in Brooklyn, I wouldn't want to go. Its a polish club that hosts parties for Ravers. I went there awhile back to check out my old time favorite DJs spin (Bones, X, Lenny D & Gonzo) & it was a wack experience. So, a "NO" from me with same crowd in that club even if its Rabbit in the Moon.

I'm always there for Hernan.

Posted by avikonen on Oct-24-2006 03:38:

i would say that's pretty accurate although I have heard from folks who've seen him headline that he can be really good when he's the headliner. I've only seen him open though...
