Question Anyone been to the new Shelter?

Has anyone been to the new Shelter where Burridge is spinning on the 28th of October? If so, is it any good? Descriptions welcome...

nothing special but they bringing in some quality DJs there.

it will most likely overpack for Lee event.

Is it just me or did that place look small as hell? I'm now debating whether it would be wise to bring all my friends there... it seems like it'll be packed like sardines in there.

Yeah, what's the capacity? I'm sure DJ Eco should know.

I'll be there as well for the first time. I'm hoping their sound system delivers the goodness...

the sound is good but come early and find yourselfs a space. I suggest a TA circle. The club is small.

800-900 the pictures dont do the place justice, its absolutely phenomenal, an awesome venue with monstrous sound... i suggest you guys go and bring everyone there, support an unsung hero as far as venues are concerned

EDIT: the first half of the video on Clubplanet with all the lights on (you cant see how big it is really) is the main floor.... the second half of the video, where you can see the grafitti, bar, etc., thats the basement

Front & center I shall be!

You sold me... I'm there! I think I was getting a little concerned with the basement portion of the video...

tell me about it.

I was there 2 weeks ago for afterhours when "Sugar Ant Invasion" came to town. All I have to say is that it isn't same old Shelter.

EDIT: although its an option now between going to Gypsy Tea.

it was getting too shadily-run.... the venue itself was Speeed, host to hiphop/reggaeton parties on Fridays and downstairs on Saturdays, and i guess they just wanted to get their soulful deep house party away from that venue, to something better, away from that clash of vibes, so to speak.... it was also starting to fall apart, sound system was iffy at times depending on the night, equipment was being messed up by the hip hop parties (until the Shelter crew decided to bring THEIR own equipment sometimes, leaving half the equipment wrack empty for other parties to freak out about when they rented the space, not knowing that)....

these arent the 100% reasons, this is just the way i see it and have heard from several people that were close to tthe owners (not to mention i was there a few times, and every week, there was a line of the hoodiest hoodrats waiting for the hip hop party)... im sure theres more to it, but i dont know the whole deal
