Get Well Paolo

from myspace bulletin

STATEMENT FROM PAOLO MOJO'S MANAGEMENT

On Monday afternoon this week Paolo was taken to hospital and underwent some extensive tests for an unknown stomach problem.

We thought this might be a repeat case of salmonella that Paolo had in Lisbon 2 weeks ago. Sadly this is not the case at all.

Paolo has a severe stomach problem called acute pancreatitis. Pancreatitis is a breakdown in function of the pancreas and is dangerous and if untreated can kill as it is an integral part of the stomach.

With this in mind Paolo's physician has asked him to stay in the UK as the results of more tests carried out today are due Friday and if there is no change in his condition then he will enter hospital for a period of 7 - 10 days for intensive treatment of this painful condition.

Paolo and his management would like to apologise to his many fans in South America for the cancellations of his booking in the next 2 weeks and we look forward to coming to South America again very soon and playing for you all again.

We are all wishing Paolo a speedy recovery from this horrible illness.

Yours truly,

Serg @ Club Class Music Management

damn i just read about this and it is a pretty serious complication, depending on its severity. Also read that "usual cause of chronic pancreatitis is many years of alcohol abuse...is not the only cause of chronic pancreatitis. Hope he pulls through this.
