The Time Machine (Movie Out Now)

AHHHH! Horrible movie. They bent the book over and had their way with it. I can't believe that Guy Pierce agreeded to do it.

The director was on crack also. Scenes were so cut and paste. "This is where you feel sad", "this is where you feel for the plight of the main character." Action scenes were misplaced.

Not to mention plot holes and the overall feeling of, "huh? why did he do that at the end?"

Saw it last night... mediocre.

The movie was pretty good I just don't really understand what happened near the end.

Saw the original movie = Like it

Read the book = Amazed

saw Hollywood's 2002 version = Garbage

When they showed the "rock" people, I though I was in the wrong show and asked where Frodo or an Elf was.

Another Great book turned Hollywood/Trash. When I heard they were going to make a Count of Monte Cristo movie, I cringed. Then I drank a few bootles and got enough courage to see the movie. Icould of puked in the theatre and blame it on alcohol, but waited until I got the the bathroom.

I just hate it when they try to make a movie out of a good novel. What's next? The Hardy Boys Movie?

If you want to wait a few weeks, you could get these movies from Kaaza or Morpheus. If you get on DC (www.neo-modus.com) you could most likely get them a few days after opening night.

Got Time Machine last weekend, since I knew it would suck. SO I didn't want to waste money. My gf is used to me borrowing movies from the net and watching them on the TV with the TV/Out card.

I pretty much go to the theater for movies I want to see and download the rest just to see them.

Re: Planet of The Apes
I think it was a case of the old "if you can't explain it blame it on a parallel universe" syndrome.

Re: Blade II
Electronic music would have so suited the first movie (thats why the electronic music is all you remember after watching it "Operation Blade"... that ambient DJ Krush track they play at the party etc...). But look at the soundtrack and most of it is rap. I think its a case of the old "we have a black actor playing the lead so we HAVE to cash in on it by making the soundtrack mostly rap" syndrome.

DJ Krush track in the party?
Are you talking about the song that's played at the rave in the beginning of Blade? That song is called New Order - Confusion (Pump Panel mix).

I was actually going to mention that track (cos thats the one that everyone remembers after seeing the movie) but couldn't remember the name or who made it so I instead mentioned the DJ Krush track (I think its called Dig This VIbe, and its nothing special but still better than all the cRAP on the soundtrack) - they played it at the party on top of the building - with all the rubber ducks in the water - somewhere in the middle of the film when the cop goes to talk to the main vampire dude .
