web browser opera

im thinking of switching over from firefox

pros/cons?

are there plug ins?

I used to use it (vers 6) but got tired of compatible issues with sites built for ie. Not sure why you would want to switch?

Wtf are you smoking?

Routine? It's a freaking web browser! If something works for you why switch?

As far as java script no issues here concerning firefox ... but sometimes things can be weird on others people computers for no apparent reasons

What version are you using? Mine works fine.

Anyway opera is great for the most part there's only about 2 or 3 websites that I know of that don't work right. The thing I like the most is that you can have your most visited bookmarks on the same tool-bar as the address bar.

Opera for me.

Flock ftw. Tried opera and firefox, didnt like the tabs on opera, liked the photobucket intergration of flock. only thing i dont like about flock is that each tab has it's own 'x' to close it, whereas firefox has one 'x' all the way on the right.

I'm sure some people prefer it the way the flockers did it though...

I've only been using it for a couple of weeks now, but I'm definitely liking it. So far only a couple of sites have had compatibility issues, but it's barely worth mentioning.

I guess give it a go yourself and see if you like it

any plug ins like the ones for firefox?

script blocker, adblock, weather, etc?

Who says it's Opera. Myspace is horribly coded. But yea. Opera has it's quirks. I still love it though. More than firefux or innnernuts explorer.

I used it for awhile and really liked it. Eventually I got sick of no plugins working and getting "this browser isnt compatible" crap so I went back to firefox. Fun browser tho. Lots of cool built in features.

Still though. Some of my admin sites won't work on it when I'm trying to edit my server. There are certain quirks about Opera which I wish they would iron out. A lot has been fixed. But I still find myself using IE for some stuff.

And then LITERALLY a couple days later having to clean up spyware. I shit you not. Clean OS installation, and I haven't set any security restrictions on IE yet, and then like... a few days later after HAVING to use it to do something... spyware.

I am no beginner either. I dunno. Opera ftw.
