The Prestige

Has anyone seen this new film from Director Christopher Nolan?

Hugh Jackman, Christopher Nolan, and David Bowie were amazing, and Scarlett Johansson is just so damn pretty. This movie had so many plot twists and turns that even though it was a two hour movie about magicians, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Makes me wish I could do magic.

Any thoughts?

Isn't Christian Bale in this also? I want to see it; looks like a good suspenseful movie. And I like the idea that Bale *really* does magic.

Christian Bale is amazing - I cannot wait to see this movie!!

The book is great too - and you would actually understand the movie if you read the book - lol. I heard many people didn't get the movie.

I could see the twist about half way through the movie and could figure out everything when the multiple hat thing happened.

Not quite as mind boggling as memento..but very very good movie nonetheless.

Been a good cinematic month imo. I watched departed and then this movie and both were top class. You dont get that often nowadays with all the shitty plots and acting.

Question

I thought the film was good... but wierd. Who thinks up that stuff!!! It really was a entertaining movie, the acting, cinematography was very very good imo. I just can't figure out, if the of the guy who first did the transporting man, was a clone that he got from Telsa, OR if it was his brother?

Posted by Lebezniatnikov on Oct-24-2006 00:42:

Yeah, the plot twist actually got me. Looking back it was fairly obvious, and I usually figure these things out, but not this time. Yeah, Christian Bale was amazing, but I'd want to be Michael Caine I think. He's about the only one who kept his dignity.

Posted by Boomer187 on Oct-24-2006 00:46:

there were too many twists, I just stopped caring about them. it was mediocre at best.

Posted by malek on Oct-24-2006 04:15:

yeah the illusionist was better.
