Has anyone here ever gone to a psychic?

rather than use logic or common sense to understand a situation that I am dealing with it dawned on me that I could just go to a psychic...but I dont actually know if anyone actually beleives what they say...never been to one.

Has anyone gone and found that they were really right? or exceptionally wrong?

Psychics are pretty much a scam.

James Randi (http://www.randi.org/) has pretty much proven that they are not in fact "intuitive" based on paranormal activity but intuitive based on other techniques (cold reading, leading, sequential questioning, etc).

Further, James Randi has offered $1 million to "anyone who can show, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event" (which includes psychics).

Yes, I have once in the past. It was recorded. Did I get anything out of it? Not really!

YES...Accompanied an old girlfriend to a psychic expo fair at the CNE a few years ago. Was intrigued so I let the dark side lure me for a reading from one of Canada's foremost psychic. At one time this person was even ranked #1 psychic in Toronto by NOW and EYE magazine. I won't reveal the name, just google if you wanna know.

Anyway, I still have the audio tape of the reading of all the things that never happened in my life. I will keep the tape as a souvenir for the rest of my life to show my kids how psychics are phoney boloney.

oh man, I have had some wild shit said to me, I have it recorded. my reading was a bit strange since he is off in his timeline a few months, but things he has said about my family have came true already pretty cool.

I'm not going to get into this really, and my beliefs or lack there of. but its interesting regardless. But i wouldnt go to a pyshcic looking for answers cause your never going to get them.

EDIT: all this guy asked me was my DOB and name

Ive had my palm read by someone I know... was really cool..its kind of different from a psychic.. but very similar.. just tell of certain traits by looking at the lines of your hand.. or reading certain cards...

Posted by AnitA on Oct-25-2006 03:25:

I've been to a spiritual medium ....trippy stuff indeed.

You perceive the reading any way you like and never take what they tell you for gospel.....Curiosity got the better of me....it's very interesting

yeah its one of those things where you know you eventually have to chose between two choices. And logic tells you to chose one, passion tells you to choose another.

I think that one of two things will happen....

Either the psychic will not even pick up on this struggle even though it consumes my mind and therefor they are a fraud or they will pick up on it (or they will ask) and they will offer some nonsense as a "reading" and I will entertain it...

I am willing to give it a go either way....can anyone recommend one in Toronto?
