out of recent Psychological Horror, i thought The Others was great.

of course Rosemary's Baby is the one that set that genre off...

yeah same here, i love horror films, too bad everything after the early 90's was just garbadge and horror movies nowadays are just plain awful, or really damn funny, i started to watch japanese horror films because they are just plain wierd and disturbing

the one with nicole kidman? yea that was better than expected..ever watch any cronenberg stuff? he's good with that type of horror..videodrome and scanners especially..i think seven takes the cake as being the best recent psych horror movie tho..that and silence of the lambs..big fan of hannibal lecter lol

haha my 'recent' meant like within 5yrs lol interesting you categorize se7en & silence of the lambs as horror.. i guess you can see it that way.. i consider the original terminator horror as well.. arnold was fucking scary as fuck relentlessly chasin ya ass and hamilton peeing her pants..lol

jacob's ladder also one of my favs.. if you like hannibal lector, have you seen Manhunter ? its a michael mann's version of The Red Dragon.. ive yet to see it but heard good things.. i read the book tho.. def. need to checkout Scanners..

Haven't posted much lately but this inspired to write something. Ichi The Killer is an absolute disgusting movie. He slices people in half and the blood sprays like 20 feet. Pretty damn gross. And the torture scenes.... kind of made me nauseous. Definitely left an impression on me though... sheesh.

Nah but I cut out my own tongue and poured some boiling shiznut on a guy hanging from a rack like in that pic. Yummy yummy good for my tummy.

I love the scene in Oldboy where he fights all those guys and they knife him in the back and he just keeps wailing away on all of them. He walks away and it's still sticking there.

manhunter > red dragon, but both are good..manhunter has a more gritty, creepy atmosphere but maybe its cause the actors are lesser known and i had trouble believing ralph fiennes as the tooth fairy killer..

oh and oldboy is indeed a fantastic movie..chan-wook park is prob the best thing to come outta korea in the past few years...took korean cinema to a whole new level with the vengeance trilogy..

yeah i kinda agree.. i wasnt really feelin The English Patient as Dolarhyde..haha what i did like about Red Dragon [the movie] was the pre-story they added in the beginning of the movie where they explain how Norton caugtht Lector.. also thought it was pretty much accurate to the book.
