Help trying to promote my book

Hey Folks,

Ok - it's blatant advertising, and I think this might be in the wrong part of this forum - so please bump to where it should be if that's the case (into the DJ Promotion one that I just saw... oops), but for the time being - before this gets bumped, I was looking for some inspiration from all you fine folks about the best people to send the book to for reviews and promotion etc.

I've already got magazines like M8, DJ, I-DJ and Mixmag on the list, and all the equipment manufacturers, Radio1, KissFM, XFM, Rapture TV, The music show (STV) and The Metro - but I was just wondering if there's anywhere massive that I've missed out that I should try to push for reviews and recomendations etc.

HMV, HTFR, Sapphires, WestEndDJ, RS:100 are all on there as DJ stores, and the major bookstores like Amazon/Waterstones etc obviously get targeted, but from a media point of view, does anyone have any recommendations?

Would love to hear from you.

Recess (John)

Oh, and if you've no idea what I'm on about, I've written DJing for Dummies, which is out in December. Check out my website for more info.

Ta folks.

I think you have all the bases covered mate- And stan's ideas seem solid. Targeted web advertising could really help. Many of the big clubbing/edm websites offer banner ad space for sale.

Apologies on my part for closing this thread, it's just part of the rules. We have strict anti-advertising policies on here. You have been a big help to a lot of up and coming djs including myself and your website is one of the most referenced in this forum. I'd move this to an appropriate forum, but there really isn't one. If you have any questions feel free to write me a PM.

Good luck with the book.

Cheers,

Greg
