shoudl i drop my ecology course or not

ok heres hte deal

out of 20 % im getting 12 (i got 60 percent on the midterm and first lab) and also i have a lab due tomorrow (actually in exactly 7 hours) and i dont have any drive whatsoever to do it.

-I need to bring my GPA up so i have to get a good mark on this lab
-if i studied hard and got 60 % on the midterm maybe this isnt my cup of tea
-if i drop this course ill only be taking 2 courses this semester instead of 3 (average courseload is 5 courses!)

so what should i do... i can drop this course by november 6th wihtout any penalty on my transcript..

You need to get your GPA up. So, either get a sweet mark in your lab in the next few hours (so stop posting ), or ditch the subject before it seriously hurts your grades. If it hasn't already, that is.

How much room do they (your Uni) give you for pulling out of a subject with/without academic penalty? You might wanna find out fast

im ok until november 6th without penalty.. i just cant get my ass to do it today.. my brain is fried.. i will get a doctors note and get an extension til monday for this lab and have to miss out on the field work for todays lab unfortunatley. But all this will be without penalty.

I know people who were averaging A- who have dropped this course.. its discouraging that a course based on pure speculation and inconclusive data can be marked so difficultly.. it boggles me. anyways im fried for now.. any more advice will be helpful so in summary

-deadline nov 6th to drop course
-60% average so far (need at least a B in this course which is 75+)
-can get an extension on the lab but will probably put me on bad terms with the lab teacher since i postponed the last lab submission.
-will drop down to 2 courses if in fact i do drop this course

2 courses and no job i personally think my productivity output will decrease due to soo much ample time to dick around.

its a double edged sword hrmm

maybe you should drop TA instead and do your school work

i'm not an advocate of dropping classes but if you can manage to drop it then drop it. don't drop it if yu need a certain amount of credits for the semester... it jsut takes willpower. just think about your GPA. will you be behind in credits?
