Well I have never seen the original one but I saw the remake a couple years ago when it came out. So I wanna see this new one that is out in theatres now, The Beginnings or whatever it is called. I haven't seen any reviews of it so dunno what to expect really. Just wondering.

Ahh...the original is insane. Sooo much better than the remake by far! And I think this "the beginning" thing is lame, doesn't even make sense, go see Saw 3 that looks way cooler

CAME OUT TODAY!! I thought the first Saw was a little eh, the second one was way more of a mind fuck. I'm totally seeing Saw 3, I was reading what some of the traps are...they're pretty crazy.

I saw TCM the beginning, twice actually 'cause ended up walking out on the original movie we came to see and went to see tcm again. It's actually pretty funny to be honest, there is a good amount of gory in it and sick parts but there's also some funny parts, especially if you see it the second time, if it wasn't for the sherriff it wouldn't be funny. It being a prequel flows very nicely with the remake, go see it, it's worth it.

Yeah so what?
I laughed my ass off at sheriffs jokes.
Does it say anywhere that you have to stick to only ONE type of movies?

The key word here is LIKED as in past tense, not LIKE.

No way! You don't have to stick to any kind of movie, you can like comedy, romance, thriller, horror, drama, documentary...as long as it's a good movie then there's nothing wrong with it.

To each is own, he asked about TCM and I gave him my honest opinion about that. I'd still recommend it to anyone.

scared?

try Black Dahlia, based on a true story, not scary, just extremely twisted, I actually did a research on this before I decided to see it which was the only reason I wanted to see it, before I did the research on the story I always thought it was dumb, but once I found out what happened, things changed.

Blak Dahlia isn't horror, it's just bad.

And I'm not scared of horror movies, I just think they're utterly fucking pointless. It's all personal preference, but I just don't see how people enjoy flicks like "Hostel" or "Saw" whose only appeal is "What's the most fucked up thing we can show on screen?"

Posted by Clovis on Oct-27-2006 17:07:

Surely you can appreciate a good horror movie like, "The Shining" though right?
