R.I.P. Mark Wilson (Disco Brothers)

Tony from above & beyond just posted this on the anjunabeats website..

quote:

It is with great shock and sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Wilson.
He tragically took his own life on Wednesday 25th November 2006, aged 29 years.
Mark was one half of the Disco Brothers and worked for the radio plugging company Size9 and was instrumental in getting OceanLab Satellite on the Radio 1 Playlist.
He was a hugely likeable and popular person and we will miss him enormously.

sad news to say the least.

EDIT, says November, but Tony obviously means October.

I played a couple of Disco Brothers tracks the other day and remembered how good they were. I have a lot of memories associated with their music, so this is a huge shame for me. RIP.

Sad news. RIP in Mark.

Sad news indeed. Although I'm not very familiar with their work, common courtesy demands that I reply.

Rest in peace.

R.I.P. Mark. So many great tunes, sad to hear.

Damn. Playing First Contact will never be the same.

I wonder why? Lots of people kill themselves, but the reasons can differ so widely.

Yeah, I too wonder. It's very distressing to think someone felt so bad that they were able to take their own life. In many ways it's worse than an accidental death, because you know they must have been suffering a long time before hand.

It's really tragic.

And for those who are not familiar with their work...

Take Off

Apart from a few tracks I'm not really a fan of them but yet it's so sad to hear such news. R.I.P. Mark.
