Costume Question 4 Monster Massive?

Has anyone noticed the past MM's if people were allowed to bring toy weapons? Like a gun, knife, sword? I mean it doesn't have to be REAL Looking weapons. It could be a purple fuzzy gun or light up sword? Something?
