I'm gonna regret this...

I'm giving myself away here, but I gotta do it. Am I the only fool over 30 going out dancing anymore? I'd love to hear from the old folks...

I'm right there with ya sister.
But you knew that already!

Don't feel so bad...I'm not too far behind (28) and I've got plenty of friends in their 30's who still like to hit up the clubs!!!

Stay young at heart!!!

Whoah whoah whoah, lets reel it back a minute there brother. There's no shame here, just a wish, a hope, a desire, that I've got some peers my age out there...

Posted by Groundhog Boy on Oct-28-2006 00:25:

I know of at least 5 regulars on this board who I have met that are 30+, but out of respect for my elders, I'll let them tell you who they are.

Posted by SebG on Oct-28-2006 00:25:

....its not like you're 60 or something.

If you feel old at age 30, mind as well end your life right there

Posted by zachias31 on Oct-28-2006 00:30:

I love my life. I don't feel old. I love going out. I don't think I should be settling down and staying home. I would LOVE it, however, if, when I go out to Crobar or Spirit or whereever, that I have an equal chance of meeting people who are just as likely to be 46 as 26. That ain't the case in my experience, and I'm looking for some evidence to quash my theory. Thass all. Thanks for the comments, keep em coming.

haha just look at the 'IceBreakers' thread and i think most ppl reveal their ages...

A woman I know from my pharmacy goes to bed at 3 am ever night. She goes to a marangae club in flushing. She may be 85, but she has the heart of a 20 year old.

When I used to party in DC there was this guy (I think his name was Adam) He's about 56 years olf now and has a wife and a daughter (his daughter actually used to be a go-go dancer at Twilo.) I saw him at every event I went to. Guy is the nicest person ever and does not drink/smoke/do drugs....is in great shape and just goes out to dance because house and trance are his fav kinds of music. I met his daughter once on her birthday at Glow one night and she was fucking gorgeous....I tryed to get Adam to hook me up but shes already married lol. I love seeing the older folks out because I know that's gonna be me one day.

Here is a picture of him and me at Sonar in Baltimore.

FIXED....older when day you to will be older 22 is closer then you think and that's pretty old

But seriously....I turn 28 next month and don't feel old at all....if I stop going out its cause I want to not cause I am too old to get of the couch and come out. Actually I think we really have to groups on this board...people like BigMike that are around the 18 / 19 range and then us senior citzens that are in the 27 - 33 range and we run this board cause rock

over 30, still love dancing but opting for smaller venues. can't take the crush of large crowds anymore. i like the loungy atmosphere a little better.

Posted by pvd420 on Oct-28-2006 14:12:

almost 29....good to know that there are a lot of us "seasoned" club goers out there
