Ferry Corsten & Seasunz @ Space 10-27-06 Review + Pics

Tonight's event was 18+ nearing the last minute, so it was a bit crowded with youngins and shit. Some people were actually in costume for the upcoming Halloween holiday. Seasunz would be tonight's opening DJ for Ferry. I arrived in the middle of his set. Tracks included:

Seasunz played everything with the pitch low, a Space characteristic for openiung sets, so the tracks all sounded kinda meh.

Onto Ferry Corsten.

I went to Space not expecting much from him. His first few opening tracks were kinda slow. I said to Richie, "I hope he's building his set." A short time later, the tide was indeed turned. Tracks he played are as follows:

The party was just AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did no expect that from Ferry honestly. I had an idea of stuff he's thrown down, but this set was hands down one of the best built, structured trance sets Ive heard in a long time. Another thing I just love from Ferry and I know he does, its to include classic tracks throughout the sets, and that set last night was no exception!
From Moonman - Galaxia ( original ), to TIMO MASS - DOOMS NIGHT ( ORIGINAL MIX !) into William Orbit - Adagios for string ( Ferry Corsten remix ) <<< kicks ass with all the trance rifs. There was a lot of new material for my ears too.. and just great stuff! Man was I having a good time. I left a bit past 4 ( been awake since 6AM studying/working/ studying / Space ) .. so I just wanted to drive it safe on my way back.

IT was GREAT to see all the familiar faces and hang out with Jordy, a great crowd!! thanks for the good times!!

There were lots of drawings of eroticism around the main room. My guess is that was for the halloween theme.

On another note.....godDAMN that kid in front of me was stupid as fuck. He was using a Vicks inhaler and security caught him. They were kicking him out but he put up quite a fight. Craziest shit I ever seen at Space.

got there around 10:10 but went in around 10:30. Seasunz's set was ok, his mixing wasn't too great btw. He dropped some good stuff like

Kyau Vs. Albert - Are you fine(Markus Remix??)
BnJ - Catch (Roth rmx) it was weird hearing it at that pitch but it was great nonetheless hearing it on that system.

OMG the kids!!!!!! lol I'll stay mum on that issue!

Ferry owned!!! Nasty set, hard for me to remember tunes, but you already know which one stands out the most.

One of my highlights of the night: this blonde chick, I have no idea who she was. She just came up to me, stood on the box and put her ass in my face...literally! Next thing I know I'm under her skirt like I was taking cover in an air-raid shelter.

And yet again on another note, I was REALLY hoping Ferry would play DJ Tatana featuring Joanna - If I Could (Ronski Speed remix.) I LOVE Galaxia but if I woulda heard this tune I would have been beside myself. He played that in his Mayday set (which IMO is the best recorded set he's done this year.)

Can't wait to see everyone else's pics. Funny thing is you're right. More TAs were supposed to come but I never saw them....?

uhhh i'm alive... lol. Awesome set by ferry last night. Seasunz had some great track selections but the transitions left much to be desired. Ferry came on and built an amazing set. Great seeing everyone there. I think DA listed most of the tracks i can remember but...

Arctic monkeys vs. Sander van Doorn - Sun goes down

I don't know why no one plays that track but its awesome and ferry played it. Jordy can agree that that song is kick ass.

I didn't take many pics cuz i was drunk off my ass.

I gave my passes to my cusins that loves trance, and he said he wasnt all that excited last night. But im glad you guys had fun!!!

true but you don't need all new tracks to have a good time. there were a few tracks i didn't recognize at all and a few i didn't know the names to.

Damm Im like the other way around heh.. I would like older trance more then all the new stuff that comes out lately. Couple of good ones but no one that would actually stand the test of time..

Another track he played was BT - Somnambulist ( was it spelled like that ? ) some type of remix

You hit the nail on the head. I thought he started out way too slow. Not bad tracks, just too slow even compared with the last tracks that Seasunz played at the mandatory opening set low pitch.

But then after about 3 or 4 songs of Ferry's set he turned the corner, threw down some nice trance burners, went techy on us, threw in a couple of electro tracks, and a perfect mix of classics and his own productions. Also LEF on that system was incredible (which was tweaked right for once), and Adalgio for Strings was mint
