Selling PS3 or Wii on Ebay

I was just wondering who here will be selling PS3 or Wii on ebay when the systems will be release? Due to it's high demand and limited release, one could be making pretty coin. Have you done it in the past with with other consoles? And how much PS3/Wii are you going to sell

Jewmongler? Sound quite immature, not to mention racist. If that's what people are ready to pay for it then they'll pay of it. It's not cold hearted as you make it seem. Do a search on Ebay. Some people are already paying $500.00 for the Wii and $1200 for PS3, and the systems haven't been out yet. Furthermore, some people don't have the time to wait in line and want to avoid the hassle and don't mind paying abit more. It's all about supply and demand.

So where's the crime?

i think people are jsut stupid and impatient if they jsut waited a month they could get it reg price.. im lucky to have a freind at gamestop that put in a preorder for wii but i wouldnt think of sellin it on ebay.. i love ebay and but stuff of there all the time but 500$ and 1200$ for a game system is ridiculous!

Although Nintendo is releasing Wii after PlayStation 3, the company is not worried about the competition. When quizzed on the subject, company executives dismissed PS3, saying that not only was it an altogether different videogame console, but that Sony wouldn't have enough units ready this holiday to provide a worthy challenge. Whereas around 400,000 PlayStation 3s are expected to hit in America this November, NOA president Reggie Fils-Aime recently confirmed that it would "absolutely" have more Wii systems ready from day one.

Nintendo expects to ship 4 million Wii units globally by the end of the year, with North American territories (America, Canada and Mexico) getting the largest chunk.--ign

Anybody stupid enough to pay $2000+ for a game system is stupid because they need to have it first.

If I manage to get my hands on one before the end of the year I'm definitely putting it up for sale on eBay or Craigslist for at least $2,000. Sony has a reputation for glitches and problems with all of its first generation hardware. I wouldn't want to keep a 1st gen PS3 for myself. It's just going to be recalled in the next few months. I suppose I eventually would like a PS3 for myself but not now. Maybe in Spring 07. The opportunity to capitalize on such a high demand is rediculous right now. I can't believe people would pay thousands just to play a videogame. That's a trip to another country right there!!

That's why you hate people? Because they're willing to spend money, that in your opinion is not worth it? Why do you take such personal involvement and offence at the actions of others? Don't you have enough of your own issues/problems to deal with, without creating more for yourself? What are you, so high and mighty, you'll provide the ideal way to behave one self in a capitalist society?

I have a friend that always lines up, and always pays too much to get a system first. Shit, I think its stupid too, but hey, its his life, and it makes him happy. But yeah, you're clearly a smarter guy, and much more successful in life than those that clearly have the money to spend on a system of their choice.

And lets not delude ourselves any longer. We're all (for the most part) 20-something geeks that spend hundreds a year on video games that have no practical value whatsoever (those of us that actually pay for games that is )

If I'm not too lazy to get up and line up for one, I'll be in that boat with you. Why not make a couple hundred bucks.

If possible I may do a line up. Not really the wisest thing to do in NYC. I'd have to have a couple of friends with me, or a very secure way of getting home safetly.

No, because they are spending obscene ammounts of money for something they need to have first. its not necessary. you claim that he takes personal offence in people choosing to do what they want, yet you too are taking personal offence in his comments, so you're no better than he is. His point is that its common sense, there is no point or anything warranting someone to blow that much money on a game system. there are better things in life to spend your money on.

I'll be interested to see just how fast PS3's fly off ebay - And how long the craze lasts.

I don't care what anyone says, most people do not have nearly $800 to plunk down on a video game system.

The wii is directed to a different market of people (which I think was said before). After all the extras for xbox it wasn't cheap either.

oh c'mon guys..think about that poor single mom that has to work 2 jobs just to survive, and all her son/daughter wants in the world is a PS3. She can't wait in a pre-order line for 3 days to reserve one cause she has to work, and the only way she can get one to make her kid happy that Santa came is to buy a PS3 on Ebay for $1200-$2000...its sad

Ha! For a second there I thought you were going to say that the single mother would have to prostitute herself for the PS3. You know someone out there's doin' it .
