Mashups! Who Likes Them?

Hi All.

I love a good mashup. what about you guys.

Way Out West/Brian Eno - "An Ending Fall" (Ascent)

somehow i could fit in Alurre - "The loves we lost", the vocals seem to fit pretty nicely.

the only eric prydz used at his cafe mambo set..it was aftermath 1983 and situations..now that is a great mashup

Mashups are cool and everything.... but very rarely do I find that the two tracks mixed together are actually in tune. Especially with vocals... a lot of the time the vocals just sound out of tune with the other song. But when it works, it sounds really good.

Are just mashing up random tracks? Those don't seem to make any sense at all.

nope just tracks with the complimentary Keys.

Yes, but have you actually given any thought whether the tunes actually compliment each other at all? Just because they're in fitting keys doesn't mean they should be mashed.

Calling On The Flood Warning especially - that's just wrong.

love mashups, but none of these crappy ones armin pulls out of his in abelton or whatever. more fun of what producers like gordyboy, divide & kreate, dj bc, lenlow, team9, dunproofin, eve massacre, prosac, aggro1, alex c, and even more proffesional ones like Erol Alkan aka Kurtis Rush, Osymoso, GHP are doing.

Meaning not just whacking a vocal onto an instrumental, A+B bootlegs are fun, when done right, but it's more fun you take a track that isn't instrumental from the beginning, reconstructing it by looping and other various tools and then maybe whacking in some loops & grooves from other tracks. and taking vocal parts from tracks that doesn't have an acapella ready.

not a big fan of mash ups but theres this really kool mash up of Evanescence's Bring Me To Life and Cristallo (Vandit Club Mix) by Cirillo.
