People who you think are/were important to EDM and that you admire/respect even is they dont play/produce a genre u like, names like Sven Vath, Undeworld, Orbital, The Prodigy, etc

There are lots actually: Paul Oakenfold, Marc Mitchell, BT, John'00'Fleming, Orkidea, Solarstone... Names I respect most. Orkidea, big influence on Finnish trance scene.

Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, Francois K for revolutionizing the art of DJing, and raising DJ to deity status.

I could go on & on, but imho, these are the guys who shaped everything, and without their invaulable input, Tiesto would be doing backup for Justin Timberlake...

Yeah, no-one should have respect anymore because one lousy set! I'm aware that his mixing has gone really bad but I quess I'm idiot because I still respect him. He surely didn't have any affect on trance scene in the nineties
