House on SNL

did anyone see snl last night? the guy who plays house has an UK accent he sounds 100% american on the show never would have guessed it in a million years.

edit: just saw your thread Neo, this is a legit so no ban plz. besides its about ur silly uk accent.

Yeah. Hugh Laurie is straight up Brit. Always was.

He's a big name over there. Lots of theater productions and famous for his Blackadder role.

It's a common fact that British people (those with accents) can mimic Americans better than vice versa.

He's actually supposed to be somewhat of a comedian. He's much more lighthearted than his portrayal of "Gregory House".

They do share a love for motorcycles, though.

His american accent is flawed. When he puts it on, he has a slight lisp. It's hard to catch, but it's there.

He actually goes over a list of terms that he can't properly pronounce during one of his Leno appearances, I believe.
