Always been interested in Italo Disco, but never really known where to find it. Where would be a good place to find this kind of music? Is there any available online, or do you just have to get lucky in a second hand vinylshop?

I'm trying to remember who it is by and the title but it is eluding me right now.. I think it is titled "italo disco"

miranda - Vamos a la playa? thats a eurodance track that was released in 1999 it was very popular as well.

IT sounds nothing like the righeria version though. Maybe your thinking of a different one.

I grew up listening to Italo Disco, but back then I'd always thought it was called New Wave. I remember the old bootleg tapes that my older cousins would get from the Asian grocery markets and in Chinatown. Italo Disco was my first exposure to electronic music. Some favorites tunes from my childhood:

Den Harrow - To Meet Me, Bad Boy, Future Brain
Gazebo - I Like Chopin, Telephone Mama, Masterpiece
Miko Mission - Two For Love, The World is You
Green Ice - Gigolo
Connie Hyland - Lovers Forever
Hank Shostack - Don't Tell Me
Total Toly - Oriental OCcupunture
New Romantique - Shy Like An Angel
Eddy Huntington - USSR, Up and Down, Meet My Friend
Mike Mareen - Love Spy, Agent of Liberty
TransX - Living on Video
Paul Lekakis - Boom Boom (Let's Go BAck To My Room)
David Lyme - Playboy, Bye Bye Mi Amor
Fancy - COld As Ice, Chinese Eyes, Bolero
Synery - Don't You Know
Beagle Music LTD. - Daydream
Tango - COmputerized Love
Savage - Don't Cry Tonight, Radio, Only You

and most if not all songs by Modern Talking, Bad Boys Blue, Silent Circle.

There's more songs I like but can't think of them right now.

creaticve connection
lian ross
patty ryan
c c catch

Italo Disco, Italo House, Hi-NRG, Asian New Wave - they're all pretty much the same thing, right? The stores in Chinatown used to carry vinyl from Chinese labels (in English) back then.

Taffy - I Love My Radio (Midnight Radio)
Koto - Jabdah
Dead Or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)
Grant Miller - Colder Than Ice
Black Box - Ride On Time
Black Box - I Don't Know Anybody Else
Black Box - Everybody, Everybody
Black Box - Strike It Up
Fancy - Slice Me Nice
Fancy - L.A.D.Y.O.

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Nov-18-2006 09:25:

i dont know if black box is really considered italo

although we have Mikro limoni from hipnosis in the group, black box was more of a euro house / dance style. the early 90s sound predominantley.
